Belated Valentine's Day

A less busy weekend, hence giving me a chance to keep my blog alive.

Happy belated Valentine's Day everyone. To all the couples out there, I hope you enjoy this special day with your loved one. Shin Shin, I heard from my cheating hubby that you were having great time with Sean. Keep going and stay sweet. I have not talked to you for ages. ><

So, how was my Valentine's Day?

Woke up ill. Was having flu and blocked nose (still am) but I decided to go for the 9am lecture. As I greeted my only friend in the class (there were only 5 of us in the class that day lol), she told me that I looked terribly pale. Yeah, maybe. I could sense that my body was too weak and I could have fainted somewhere on the way to uni. After class, I decided to go home. Just can't afford to stay until the next lecture. Saw R on my way home and I tried my best to put on a smile. The last time I saw him was the week before I flew back home during the summer. Oh, and there was once few weeks ago I was walking just behind him and I didn't realise that it was him until I whatsapp-ed him to confirm that. Ha, that guy has turned more charming. His smile and his soft-spoken personality were what made me had a crush on him. Had a short chat by the road and he had to go to the lab.

Home and I jumped straight in my bed. Too weak to do anything and again, Mr. Jones crept into my mind AGAIN. I have not done any proper introduction to this character yet. Maybe I should come out with a post on him, depending on my mood. Yes, he is an angmoh and that's his last name. No, you can't find him on my Facebook or whichever social media I had so please don't stalk! I have been trying to not remember him but I just can't. Slap me please my cheating hubby, like what I told you. It suck to think about you on Valentine's Day you know, Mr!

Had a nap and when I woke up, someone dropped me a bomb! I shall not disclose much on that matter as it is related to a few bloggers. The gay circle is just TOO small! I just hope that the person will deal it well.

On a plus side, I have been chatting to two nice guys on the apps. One has stated clearly what he is after and another one just casual chat. Time to add more "foreign resources" (as what my cheating hubby labelled it) to my collection. :)

I made this 3-D heart. :)

An Escapade to the North Part 2

My long overdue post. >.<

"I spotted quite a number of hotties, some with well-built body and some with pretty face. Had the urge of just grab one and you know..... Haha. Also spotted two gay couples (judging from my gaydar). One guy was rubbing the other's back. Awwww."

A snippet of the previous post. I wish I could stay in the Blue Lagoon longer (me naik miang) but it was time to leave as we had another activity planned for the night. Bye bye hot guys. :(

We reached our apartment around 4-ish and it was already very dark (sunset was around 2-ish or 3-ish). The owner has just arrived from his trip back from Sweden so he left me with an instruction sheet sent through email on how to get the key into the apartment. Found the key where it was located but had hard time trying to open the main door. I tried a few times and that was when I overheard my friends saying, "Yer, why so dodgy one? I wonder what inside is like". I was really angry. I did my research on basically everything. Found a few accommodations and asked for their opinions. They never gave me an answer and asked me to go ahead with my choice. And that's what I got from them. Pissed me off! Got into the apartment and they were like, "Wow so nice! I want this room." The rooms are all taken so I had to have common room as my room. How nice my friends are! Seriously, I am not going to do anything the next time I go travelling with them!

Went for northern light that night. We were all really excited about it. Checked the aurora forecast and it looked like it'd be a lucky day for all of us. Expectations turned into disappointment that night. There was no clear sign of any aurora activity. Headed back at 10-ish after being in the cold for 2 hours.

The next day, there was nothing planned in the morning so all of us just slept through the day. It felt like evening  time when we headed out for lunch. It was at a small Icelandic cafe near the Hallgrimskirkja church. We had a first taste of Icelandic food. I can only remember I had the famous dried fish as a snack. My main course was what is shown below. Forgotten what they are already.
They are really nice especially the rye bread ice-cream. Yummy. Some of my friends didn't quite like what they had . They were saying that it's too rich. Halfway through lunch, suddenly there was a heavy snow. The view from where we were seated was really nice and it felt like a scene in a movie haha.

After that, we just walked around Laugavegur (like a high street). Most of the shops that we went into had some free cookies or biscuits that you can just grab. Even convenience shops have that. It's like a wonderland for our group of hungry monsters. Basically we just explored the whole city centre of Reykjavik in that afternoon. It's quite small I'd say.

Night came and we were ready for another sighting of the northern light. It was free this time as we weren't able to see any the previous night. In fact, if you keep the ticket, you can still go again even if you have seen the northern light. I didn't understand the guide so most of the time I spent it on facebook and viber (with Mr. Shadow Wind and also on Kik with my cutie American boy). We weren't expecting much this time as the forecast said that chances were low to see any sign of the aurora borealis. We were brought to a mountain area. There was once that a bus were blown off the track by strong wind (what the guide said la).

We hiked up a small mountain and waited. While waiting, my friend saw a shooting star. OMG! So lucky! There was nothing to see on the clear sky but people did manage to capture the northern light through their camera. At first, we were amazed at it but after a while, we just got bored of it. It's just like you google northern light and just looked at the photo on your computer screen. Decided to get some warmth inside the bus. It was not too long that a middle-aged lady suddenly hop onto the bus and told her friends that there would be a big aurora 'explosion'. Not wanting to lose any chance of it, we got down the bus. After a while, we FINALLY saw the northern light. We went crazy and just awww-ing non stop. lol

It started with a small cluster of bright dots on the east side of the sky. It then grew into a flame and just spread through the sky to the west horizontally. Oh ya, it was dancing gracefully. It's just too pretty. You gotta see the real northern light to know what I was talking about. :p One regret was that there was no guy I could kiss under the dancing aurora. :( It's one of the most romantic thing that could happen at that moment!

We split after that. I went up to the top of the mountain again with some friends. As we reached the top, we saw a few guys were posing. Me and another girl complimented them. And guess what they offered to take a group photo for us. Seriously, I was not expecting that. Who would want to waste their chance of taking more photos of the beautiful northern light! Time was precious then. The aurora could fade away at any instant. We had to stay still for half a minute for the photo. Luckiest day ever! Most precious photo I have ever had.

Day three was spent on whale-watching. It was the worst thing ever to do! We spent a few hours out in the ocean. There was no sign of whales and we were all sick at the end of the day. Not a recommended thing to do if you travel to Iceland.

Day four we went on the Golden Circle tour. Main attraction was the Gulfoss waterfall. We had to take the stairs to get close to the waterfall. As a result of my hand being in the cold too long, my fingers turned purplish and I almost had no feeling of anything. I had lamb soup at the restaurant near the waterfall. Very delicious and strongly recommended. Next stop was the geyser aka the ejaculating spring. There are a few near that area but only one of them was active. It'd ejaculate almost every 5 minutes (super strong haha). Everyone was ready with their camera while waiting for the ejaculation. I managed to snap one of it cumming. LOL. Spotted a young gay interracial (angmoh and Asian) couple. They always kept a healthy distance between each other. Why so shy la? Haha. Later that night, I tried the whale and also the puffin meat. Haha. Evil me.

That was pretty much about my adventure to Iceland. Generally, I like it very much compared to the other countries that I have been to. I really want to go back there once again. The city is not very big and not very densely populated which suits me very well. I hate city life but not Reykjavik. I love the winter scenery in Iceland. :) Also, the men there are quite tall and more accepting towards Asians (I chatted with a few Icelanders on Grindr and most of them actually replied!).

Just an answer to Bunny's question. I personally think that it's actually a bit expensive to travelled there. The prices of the food there are quite expensive. But if you think that London is a cheap place then Iceland shouldn't be very expensive to you. :)

Happy Chinese New Year,

An Escapade to the North Part 1

As promised, I am writing this regarding my recent visit to the North.

Guess which country? Hint: I mentioned it in my previous post.

Jeng! Jeng! Jeng! It's ICELAND! :D

So let's start with a bit of introduction to this country (and also I know all about this country lol).
1. Reykjavik the northernmost capital in the world.
2. It is one of the most LGBT-friendly in the world with its previous prime minister being the first openly lesbian to lead a government. *clap clap*
3. The population in Iceland is only about 300k people which I think is quite a nice size.

The trip started off from Luton aiport to Keflavik airport (one of the two airports in Iceland). It was the most scariest flight I have ever had to date. Due to the high wind turbulence intensity on that day, the airplane had a few drops with a moment there were a few successive drops. My heart almost leapt out, like seriously! Then this mid-thirty lady just one seat to the right below me started to get hysteric. She was like, "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! I am going to die! I am going to die!" and then she kept asking an air-steward whether the pilot had encountered this before. "Has he done this before? Has he done this before?" I looked right to my friend and we were both laughing (quietly of course!). lol. Calm down ma'am! When you have decided to board the plane, that means you have given your complete trust to the pilot. That's what I think. There is nothing that can be done at that point of time. Oh and when we were laughing, my friend pointed to his headrest. The lady was clenching on the headrest of my friend's seat and got hold of his hair. LOL. Luckily the cabin crew managed to calm her down before creating havoc in the plane.

We then landed and got the Icelandic Krona at the bank in the airport. A small tip for anyone who is going there: it's better to get your money changed there as the rate is better. :) First stop was Blue Lagoon. It's an open air hot spring whereby the colour of the water is milky blue, like Dynamo colour. On the journey from airport to Blue Lagoon, the views were quite nice at some point where you can see mountains almost completely covered with snow. The less attractive views would be the barren land. Seriously, there are just rocks, black soil and snow. Nothing else lol.

At first, we didn't really intend to get into the hot spring but then when we were there some of us (me included) were like "Aiya. We came here already so must go in." Then I experienced something new (I think this is the only thing I tell my cyber hubby on viber)! You need to shower before you dip in. So me and friends went to the locker room area to put our stuffs. The first thing that greeted me was this fair ass that was literally in front of me. OMG! Then I went to the shower area, there were naked men taking shower. There are doorless ones and of course for more conservative people there are those with doors but no lock ya. :p If my friends weren't with me, I would have ended up somewhere else instead of the hot spring. Damn it!

Okay V. Don't stray away. It felt nice dipping into the water and for once my muscles (more like fats) relaxed as I have been pushing myself too much during term time. It is quite a big area and the water is my chest-height (I'm around 6 feet by the way). I spotted quite a number of hotties, some with well-built body and some with pretty face. Had the urge of just grab one and you know..... Haha. Also spotted two gay couples (judging from my gaydar). One guy was rubbing the other's back. Awwww. Sweet la you guys. Made me jealous. If only I have one then. If only. :( I wish I could stay a bit longer in there. If cannot touch, still can see ma. Better than nothing. Haha. The views were really nice during sunset and of course you can see couples cuddling and kissing. Ughhhh! Made me sad. *cry*

To be continued soon.
